Willa Robinson Allen is a local beader in Durham NC. Just like others, Willa started off as a traditional “stringer” and added in a little wire work. Growing increasingly facinated and interested in other forms of beading, she shortly joined a bead society and learned beadweaving. During one of the meetings, she learned how to make a simple braid using the art of Kumihimo and was hooked! Willa also enjoys working with metal and metal clay, but always goes back to Kumihimo in between projects.
