This 3 hour workshop will introduce students to the professional design approaches and technical skills of basic jewelry design. Students will learn to identify, tap into and broaden their design understanding to develop an individual style. Understanding basic design principles enables students to work through design ruts and inspire designs with confidence. Students will work at their own pace to design a finished piece with the guidance of the instructor. Intermediate students will work on design aspects that expand their existing creative knowledge base enabling them to create endless one of a kind jewelry pieces with confidence. Discussions will include: Building a Sensible Inventory on a Budget` as well as `Selling Your Work`. Finished pieces will include a single and/or multistranded necklace, bracelet of choice. A free `Shopping Session` will be included after each class for interested students who want to learn more about the types and qaulity of beads as well as making `good choices` that will add to a useable and affordable inventory.
